When asks, “What is America’s pastime?” Most answer with an
obvious Baseball or Football; not me, the first thought that pops in my mind is
the sweet science that is the world of Boxing. Growing up in an Italian
American home there was three things that were set at a young age. One, you
must always honor and never disrespect Frank Sinatra, Two eat often and beyond
being full, Third and most importantly, love the sport of boxing.
Growing up in Chicago, the boxing community was easily obtainable, and boy did I get my fill through the years. From park district to pro, I was able to live through all that this sport had to offer. To this day I lose sleep before a big fight, and I am not even steeping in the ring. The beast of what had become my obsession with the boxing world started when I was about 10 years old. This love has stuck with me throughout my years; I am now 31 and still can’t get enough of the glove game.
Now I find myself pursuing to deepen my love for my American pastime. I am currently a student at Full Sail University pursuing a degree in sports marketing which I hope to use to gain access to the professional world of boxing. Which has brought me to designing this blog The Final Bell. Boxing has slipped under the radar in the past couple years, and I wish to bring it back.
Boxing is my love and my passion and I would like to share this love with the world. The Final Bell is designed to give viewers real boxing talk, from a real boxing fan. From personal opinion, to recaps of past and upcoming fight, an essentially everything boxing The Final Bell is designed to scratch your boxing itch. So climb through those ropes, lace up them gloves, and lets go till The FINAL BELL!
